Affordable Housing
We care about our community and our residents. At The Rushmore, we are proud to provide a collection of market-rate and reserved affordable housing options for qualifying households. The affordable housing program is income restricted and rent restricted, and applicants must meet all applicable program and rental-selection requirements.
The Rushmore accepts Housing Choice Voucher holders, including Section 8, provided the voucher meets the applicable rental portion and the household meets all remaining Tenant Selection Criteria and program requirements.
What do I need to Pre-Qualify
• Completed application for every household member 18 years of age or older. The application fee is $16 per person and non-refundable
• Proof of income. Household income must meet the applicable minimum and maximum income requirements.
• Additional proof-of-income documents may be required depending on each household member's individual income and assets.
• Applicants must meet The Rushmore's rental-history requirements. Poor rental history, including an eviction, landlord debt, or broken lease, does not meet the property's rental criteria.
• Minimum credit score requirement: 500 or above.
• Applicants with felony criminal convictions do not meet The Rushmore's rental criteria.
All applicants must complete The Rushmore's standard application and meet the property's rental requirements. Applicants seeking an income-restricted apartment must also meet the applicable household income limits based on household size and the program requirements in effect at the time of application.
Qualification is based on gross annual household income. Additional documentation may be required to verify income and assets. Please contact The Rushmore for current income limits and acceptable proof-of-income documentation.
